Interesting and yet terrible how it seems cults always treat women in the name of religion. I liked the naturalist parts about edibles and survival.

Overall slow paced and jumped around in the timelines a lot, made it a bit difficult to follow. I thought there would be more information on the cult and how she got out, but it ended up being more surface level.

A fascinating book!
Disappointed a bit in how it ended as she doesn’t really say how she actually escaped and survived on her own
