I'm very glad to be reading The Diviners series when I can go from one book directly to the next. This is a twisty mystery that keeps you turning to the next page to find out what is going to happen next. Libba Bray writes such incredible, diverse characters, and fits them in with the time period in a thoughtful way. This installment of the series really upped the stakes, with more danger and
Spoilerhuge character deaths
. I was left reeling!

I have given all of the books in those series (so far) 5 stars and this was was somehow even better!! I absolutely loved this book. Libba Bray has a way of bringing the characters and the 1920’s setting to life! We learned so much more in this installment and so much happened between the characters. I cannot wait to read the final book, but I’m scared because of all the negative reviews I’ve seen.

I liked our new characters and how the relationships developed and changed.
I liked how the plot moved and the pacing.
I liked how eugenics was brought into the book because it just brought another interesting layer bc so many racists loved eugenics at this time omg.
I'm really excited for the final book.
If you haven't started The Diviners series idk what you are doing man bc these books are consistently good.

Better! Much better than the 2nd book… i liked the 1st book. But the 2nd was super disappointing. I decided to go ahead and try this one and it was much longer than the previous 2 books but it was a good listen! Moving on to the 4th….

The 3rd installment of Bray's Diviners series managed to again charm and captivate my attention. I have loved watching the characters grow as individuals as well as learning about each other and how to function as a team. This book particularly had a coming of age romance focus that was written tastefully and respectfully. However it also contains a trigger warning that may upset sexual assualt victims
