I truly have to commend TJR for her ability to seamlessly tell this story from so many different perspectives. If was different and really refreshing to not necessarily only have one “main” character. Everyone was a main character in their own right whether you loved them or hated them.

SpoilerThe first third is basically the same idea as 'Daisy Jones and The Six' but with different characters which I found a bit disappointing. Even if Mick had been something like a travel TV show presenter instead of a pop star we could have had the same ideas just explored differently.

All in all a quick read with great pacing, but it felt so much like Daisy Jones and The Six from another angle that I felt like I
 had read it before.

If you love good, healthy and  sibling dynamics a splash of found family you may enjoy this. Worth a read but not in a way that I'd encourage you to actively seek out a copy.

My first Taylor Jenkins Reid - and what a fantastic book to pop my cherry. Couldn't put it down and was engrossed in how quickly TJR made every character so real and authentic. I loved the pace of us experiencing just one whole day and the inserts of the past felt so well placed within this telling of the story.

My only gripe was somehow how neatly tied up and finished it all was... It just felt a little too much like a neat bow around what was an incredibly messy package just moments before. Seemed unecessary for things to be that neat, and sadly unrealistic.
