A dark and haunting fae/folk story set in Austin, which I really enjoyed. There wasn't much subtlety, but there was a richness to the characters, descriptions, and conclusions that I appreciated. I'm sure I was reading with a bias (I love Austin, and I live there for now), but the landscape and wild nature of the surrounding areas lend themselves well to the Sidhe. I'll be looking for more from this author.

Made me question my perspective on life a lot, and I thought it was brilliant. The book 1/book 2 split in the story threatened to be really jarring, but it actually worked really well.

Fantastic book; the inter-twinning plots really came together in one of the most beautiful ways i've seen in all the books i've read

I made it four pages in and the author had already used every adverb in the English language.
