This book was a bit slow and not a lot happened but it’s setting the scene for the rest of the 5 books.... great ending so I’m looking forward to reading the next book....

🫣I’m ashamed of myself, I was so excited to hop back into the forest with the warrior cats and this is following the next generation but I just didn’t quite connect with these characters just yet, I’m thinking this series I may have to read fairly close together so plot and character voices don’t get forgotten.

When I read this series about a decade ago, I remember this being my favourite book (I only read the Prophecies Begin and New Prophecy as these were the only ones published in my home country at the time). During my reread, I've realised this wasn't the best book but it was still pretty good.
My main like about this new series was the character diversity. We get to see more developed characters coming from the other Clans and I find there's more vibrant personalities in the New Prophecy. However, I found the journey pretty dull and repetitive and didn't enjoy Leafpaw's chapters too much so dropped my rating down to 4*.
