The Last Flight is a suspenseful Page turner that kept me up at night wanting to know what would happen next. It is told in two POV’s and different timelines following what led Eva up to the Flight. I was hoping for a different ending but it is still a great read if you have it on your TBR!

I was sorta kinda pleasantly surprised by this book. Jury was out for me until the last hundred pages. I wish the author would’ve honed Eva’s chapters a little more, they felt slow to me and I felt the urge to skip over them.

A little too much modern jargon for my taste (mentions of #MeToo, Facebook, GoogleDocs, TMZ) these things tend to take me out of the fantasy and put me back in the real world I’m trying to escape from. Just a personal preference.

But the last couple of twists had me cheering out loud. You’ll have to suspend some disbelief for this one, but it’s a perfectly fine suspense novel with a surprisingly poignant ending.

Very okay!

I know it was important to have the Eva flashbacks but I was not as interested in those chapters until about halfway through the book. I also wish she had a slightly different ending. Overall it was a quick read that kept me very entertained!

This thriller was fine, it just wasn't particularly memorable for me. While the concept was intriguing, the characters weren't as strong as Clark's other thriller The Lies I Tell, which I enjoyed a lot more. The pacing also felt a little off for me, just a bit too slow.
