This book was a YA rom-com with twists and turns to keep readers on their toes. Not much to say about plot as it was a standard romance with familiar tropes like enemies to lovers and second chance romance. This book is a perfect beach read for high schoolers and middle grade readers that are looking for more black joy and light hearted content.

So refreshing to read books about black people and being able to relate! Thank you, Kristina! I would love to see more of Reina! When she came in dressed as a character of les mis to apologize I had to laugh!

Adventure, ballet, young love, pursuit of passion and a little bit of rule breaking make I Wanna Be Where You Are worth the read. I listened to the audiobook and had a very nice afternoon enveloped in this story. Chloe and Eli are the traditional 'Sort of uptight girl meets Bad boy and comes out of her she'll and lives her best life' type of couple. Overall, just a fun read and a good way to spend an afternoon.

This was decent. It was really interesting for me to read about an injured dancer (because hello that’s me) and I really wish there had been more about Chloe’s dancing. But I loved the adventure that she and Eli went on it was really nice to read something so wholesome.
