I'm a huge believer in more body positivity but this one just fell flat for me. Our Female lead felt very whiny and had no confidence in herself. Her mom sure didn't help matters either. But beyond that I felt like she self sabotaged so much because she was always so worried about being accepted and not have to be some ideal that she ruined a lot of things for herself.
This was a quicker read (or listen in this case), but it was very predictable. I could generally see what was coming and when and it just felt overworked. I'm sure there will be tons of spin offs with the friend group that came to our Female Leads rescue when she was tasked with dating our Male lead. But I'm not sure that I feel moved to read further.
