This book is a 5 star for me I absolutely loved every single part of it, I was crying I was happy and I was raging mad at times, I’m glad they got their happily ever after.

The warning in the description about this book is not sufficient. It isn’t simply passing mention of abuse and assault there are dedicated scenes turned to sex.

The true storyline of fighting another family for control of the city ends and the remaining 20% off the book is legitimately unnecessary sex scenes which do little to nothing to further the story line.

I have never seen or heard the word knickers used more often. I grew to hate the word during this book. If I had been playing a drinking game maybe the book would have been slightly better or I would have passed out before finishing it.

I do not and will not recommend this to anyone who wants a solid storyline to carry through the entire book, who isn’t into graphic painful sex or if they have any history of any abuse in their past because this book does not give any hope for healing just the impression that abuse makes everyone a monster and there is no escaping it.

This book was...interesting. I’m not sure honestly what I think. Going to sit on it a few days and then come back to this.

Decided to challenge myself by reading more books this year and for my first book, Den of Vipers, I was not disappointed! I can understand why a lot of people downvoted it, because I do agree that the plot was not very prevalent and that the character development could have been better. To my second point, I personally still struggle to remember how each of the guys look, and for a 700+ page book this shouldn’t be the case. I also would have enjoyed more time getting to know each character, rather than rush through their background at times. However, as a whole, I didn’t mind it as much and I can honestly say that at no point was I wanting to put the book down. Instead, I actually wanted to spread out how fast I was reading it so I could relish in the story more! Nonetheless, despite this book’s flaws, I will happily read the book again.

+4 stars for the sexiness, originality, and easy-to-read nature of the book
-1 star for the lack of plot and character development.
