I just do not main characters jumping into problems without any thoughts or plans. Out of the four chapters, only the fourth one was enjoyable and the rest felt agitating for me.

A spectacular graphic novel with fascinating world-building, Songs for the Dead has vibrant characters… and an incredible amount of violence. Take the description seriously. I’m very excited to read the second book.

The art style is beautifully done. The story line is interesting and kept me guessing. I really liked Bethany and liked that Elissar was a more prickly character.

Read this as four issues.

This is a quite enjoyable series. The characters do grow, and there is a nice companionship to the two women. I love the use of Bethany's magic. I think it is best to look at each four issue series as a chapter in a larger story.
