This book captures and utilises the mystery of the Australian landscape beautifully in both the setting and characters. The novel deals with important issues such as loneliness, mental health and abuse from a unique and immersive perspective. Gripping until the very end.

Excellent story. I'm so intrigued by life in the outback and obsessively found myself researching about life there while listening to this book. A great story about family, isolation, and depression.

This was not at all what I was expecting, but I really liked that about it. I don't want to say too much because I think this book is strongest if you know very little going into it. 

I will say that it was pretty slow getting into it and getting to know each character. Stick with it, the ending is worth it.
