The best way I can describe this is as the exact in between of six of crows and shadow and bone. My favorite part was David and Genya (what's new?). I have to mention that ending too! The Darkling is back??? Does this mean more old character cameos? I'm particularly excited about the Darkling, because while he was good in shadow and bone, Leigh's writing has grown so much since then, so I can't wait to see where his character goes (especially because his death didn't satisfy me).

she did not have to go this hard
first half is kinda boring, but the second half is a rollercoaster
love all the characters
how nina was written bothered me a little, but i love her and missed her
