Enjoyable semi-thriller about a fictitious major hurricane. Fairly quick read and nice change of pace. Author seemed well versed on hurricanes, etc. - a former Weather Channel person w/ lots of good contacts for his research....

Having lived in South Florida through several hurricanes (including Andrew), I can rightfully say that this book was eerily accurate in the details of a hurricane. I know what its like to sit in a house with no electricity, everyone huddled around a radio listening to news reports, and hoping that we all make it out alive.

Eyewall shows us three separate perspectives of a category 5 hurricane and how the people dealt with it. Each one just as terrifying and gripping as the next. This is a masterpiece work of fiction that should not be missed by anyone!

In conjunction with the Wakela's World Disclosure Statement, I received a product in order to enable my review. No other compensation has been received. My statements are an honest account of my experience with the brand. The opinions stated here are mine alone.

This book was really exciting! The characters were well written, and the pacing made it hard to put down. This one would be a great vacation read for a fan of natural disaster adventures (though, maybe hold off if you're vacationing in a small island during hurricane season). There were a few places where the writing style felt a touch awkward in my opinion, which is why I can't give it 5 stars, but I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure, and will be sure to read more by this author in the future!

This was an easy read. Not too taxing on the brain with minor character development. I would read other books just because it's light reading while I'm traveling. I'm not so involved that I can't put it down while I walk through the airport or train station.

A book that proves you don't screw around with Mother Nature.
