I get it's a novella but I wish it was longer. I hope to see these two again in the next books!

I read Neon God's at the beginning of this year & wasn't a fan of it. I decided before I continued the series I'd read this to see if the series is worth it & maybe just Neon God's was a flop, but I think the series might just be a flop. Overall I felt like Medusa & Calypso had a much better connection than Hades & Persephone in Neon God's & the storyline was okay but I feel like this could have been paced better instead of being kind of slow & then having everything happen all at once.

Stone Heart is a good prequel. I chose to read this before starting Neon God's, book 1 in the Dark Olympus series. I am looking forward to reading the official first book: Katee's writing style is easy to read and not cringey or cliché. Medusa and Calypso are complex characters that I hope are part of the rest of the series.

This was way too short, I could have easily read twice as much about Medusa and Calypso and still would have wanted more. The self-hatred of both of them turned the whole situation very sweet in my opinion. I love how Katee Robert twisted the Medusa story to fit her modern human Olympus scene.

I only wish this had been longer! I think Calypso and Medusa deserved a full-length novel. I wanted to know more about them as individuals, as a couple and I wanted to see how their situation was going to evolve.

It seems to me that Katee Roberts' MO is crating really hot and steamy sex scenes and then taking on an HEA at the end and making them want all the mushy gushy things there are to be had in the world. I was hoping since Medusa was an assassin that the sex they had would be hot and naughty and more detailed and... longer? But it wasn't and that is what it is. But I loved the description of Athena. I feel like I could very clearly see her in my mind and I liked that.
