Once again, the Bromance Book Club doesn't disappoint! I was so excited to finally read Mack and Liv's story. Enemies-to-Lovers (or Antagonists-to-Lovers?) is one of my favorite tropes. I love the constant sarcastic needling at each other, while also the deep seated way they drive the other to be a better person. This was such a great book! A lot of LOL moments, as well as moments of awe.

I love this books
I always start my reviews like that but it’s true I love the feminism from EVERYONE (well technically not Hop but he gets there) and I love Mack (is he still mack or Braden now idk) and Liv (totally get her insecurities) Vlad/ The Russian made me giggle so much he’s a cutie patootie pie even with the gas he is. the boys bromance is adorable and how much they care for each other. I don’t think i’ll read Thea and Gavin’s book i’m not one to like a “second chance” romance but i might like Alexis and Noah’s but I hope there is more for the rest of the guys stories
Hop giving Liv the book that Mack gave him is super cute and such a nice way to show how much he cares about her without saying it. you know like his actions mean more then words that saying how ever it goes.
Rosie and Livs talk made me cry (not even kidding I sobbed this was I’m pretty sure my first time crying over a book too)

I love witty banter. I love sarcasm. I love Braden Fucking Mack. And I love enemies to lovers. This book also fixed my biggest issue about the first book by taking it more public instead of keeping it secret.

I feel as though the topic of workplace sexual harassment was not a great choice for the backdrop of a romcom story. While I'm sure it could be done well, I don't feel as though this book did a great job with how it was handled.

One of my favorite things about this series is how real the problems are between the couples. In this book, both the MCs have dad issues; Liz pushes people away before they can hurt her, which makes her abrasive and causes her to steamroll others. Mack is so scared he'll become his father that he doesn't let anyone see the real him, only the curated version he wants them to see.
I really appreciated the enemies-to-lovers story, especially by giving them a reason to be around each other and some real stakes -- stopping a serial sexual harasser and misogynist. I like that they had limited ideas and resources; it felt realistic instead of a spy thriller or mystery/suspence.
This book was cute, steamy, funny, and emotional; it would make a great summer read/beach read or a quick and fun anytime romance.

I’ve now read the first three in the Bromance series and for me, this installment is the weakest. The other two were books I read in less than 24 hours. The pages practically turned themselves and I laughed out loud often as I read. They were just fun and heartfelt.
You’ll get some of that here, but something was off in the balance and development of the plot threads I think. I know this is a Rom Com, but I did not feel that the #MeToo element was treated seriously enough. Something jarred about the ending, with Liv and the book club swooping in to save the day and expose Royce in a kind of a goofy, half bungled climax. I’m not sure how you could write a #MeToo narrative with comedic elements successfully. It’s conceivable but it didn’t happen here.
Liv and Mack needed more airtime. Their connection was not as convincing as those of the central couples in the other books.
Still, there were some laughs and some fiery moments and I sure love the fellas in the Bookclub. It’s a great series and I will happily recommend it.
