I just wish they hadn’t done what they did at the end. Also there was something I wish we could have found it

2/ 2.5. I listen to this book, I love to listen to mysteries when I'm working so I gave this one a shot without ever hearing about it. It was ok, but didn't really stand out. One thing I didn't like was that there were way too many characters it was a little confusing at times. I hated how they pronounced the H in words.

Meh, I wanted to like this one more than I did. I liked that Ellie Hatcher had a small part, but the two main characters did nothing for me, I just didn’t care about them at all.

Meh
The mystery itself could have been compelling, but was often derailed by unnecessary asides fleshing out various secondary characters. I mean, yeah, I like to get a feel for the characters in a book, but I don't really need long bios for characters who are only there to prod the plot along. Save that for the primary characters.
A lot of the dialog just didn't feel convincing to me either, and I wasn't impressed with the twist.
