This is my first independent self-published graphic novel by Michael Bracco. I didn't know what to expect. Honestly, the cover made me a little nervous. This blew my mind. The art was wild and I love the 'magic' element in the story.

I think the easiest way to sum up is to think of Creators like X-men. A chosen few have the gift of being able to make their drawings come to life and they are controlled by the emotions of the artist. They are feared by society. The characters are strong and the art is crazy good and imagination is bursting off of the pages of this book. It's fantastic. It's easy to get caught up in the world of this story. There is also a school for the creators, but it really doesn't look like a fun place.

I hope this story can catch on and people will read it.

This is quite a fascinating concept! And I love the parallels with freedom of speech.

The story was fantastic! I really got into it - it‰ЫЄs quite different. And I‰ЫЄm so glad I supported volume 2 in the Kickstarter, since I would have been really bummed by not immediately jumping into it as soon as I was done with volume 1.

The art was cool - it‰ЫЄs pretty different than what you normally see in comics - and I thought it was excellent for this story. I thought the choices in coloring really made the creations jump off the page. Well, not literally like they do in the story. And I thought the creations were, well, creative - I‰ЫЄve always had a soft spot for monsters.

Check this out.

Wow, just wow!
I had the pleasure of meeting the author (and of course artist) of this amazing work in Baltimore’s artscape 2019. It was 110 degrees and we were already evaporating, but I couldn’t help notice their booth because they had “comic books”, my new-found passion. Michael drew a sketch of Kardunn in my book, and I said “wow, she reminds me of maleficent with one horn!” And he said “she is supposed to be a helper, a protector. Based on Maya’s mom and her unicorn “.
The story has such passion and rage, such deep emotions embedded within it. The drawings are just too powerful, so amazing that it’s impossible to forget them. I can’t wait to read the next volume (glad I bought both!) and I think the concept he is putting forth is one that has deep roots in history. Cast aways from society, people who are considered nothing, but are actually talented and can create big explosions via their imagination.
I love this story.
