Mina is so incredibly tenacious while also being so incredibly caring towards those around her. I loved her so much.
Shin and his friends have a really interesting dynamic, in how they treat and respect each other but also how they respect Mina and her choices. *chefs kiss*
Then there are Mask, Dai and Miki whose storyline brought me to tears.
This book also has some really gorgeous scenery descriptions, that do honestly feel like they could be something out of a Miyazaki Movie.
TLDR I will be shoving this book down everyone's throat for the foreseeable future, and is likely one of my favorite books ever.

This is such a beautiful story. More than once I let out an audible “Ahh!” while reading. Axie Oh paints such a beautiful world and story in this book. You’re hopeful the entire time. It has kind of a enemies to friends to lovers vibe happening with found family. This is the first book by her I’ve read and I fell in love with her writing style and her use of imagery. I can’t wait to read more of her books! I also need her to write more mythology immediately, please and thank you.

I really enjoyed this book! It started slow, but I got invested pretty quick. I loved the characters and their development. The last few chapters made me go from really liking the book to loving it!

A fabulous YA fantasy book based in Korean mythology. I absolutely loved this and couldn't stop listening - totally addicting, charming, and emotional. I'd highly recommend the audiobook.

Honestly I feel like three stars is being generous but the book was entertaining enough so I'll leave it (I've since decided not to leave it). However I found the plot drags and meanders, and it just felt incredibly unorganized. The characters were flat, and not to say they're unlikable, but there wasn't enough development for me to grow attached to any of them, and this includes all the relationships as well. The prose itself was pretty and flowery, but it also felt juvenile and repetitive. I think the book was too ambitious, and perhaps with a different editor it could have been better.

O livro é super fofo e cheio de cultura e magia! Simplesmente amei todo o lugar onde se passa e como a autora consegue transformar as palavras na minha cabeça em cenas e lugares indescritíveis de tão lindos. Tem pouquíssimas coisas que eu mudaria, mas só acontecem pelo livro ser bem rápido e curto: os personagens se apaixonam um pouco rápido, e tem muitos acontecimentos e conflitos que parecem durar uma página só. Tirando isso, me trouxe muita inspiração e eu amei demais os personagens! Adorei que tem alguns não héteros no meio de forma sutil, e toda a estética é de se deliciar. Ótimo!
