I am very much loving these Brontë sisters mysteries! They're a bit dark at times, but the blend of historical fiction and mystery is stellar. I find myself lost in the mystery and in the lives of the sisters. And while tenth grade me didn't give a whit about Wuthering Heights, nearly forty-year-old me is thinking of doing a reread because of these mystery novels and the insights into the workings of the Brontë women's minds. I also love the author notes at the end to see how factual information was woven into the story line. Fun fact: it was mentioned in the story Patrick Brontë is from County Down and that's where my Irish heritage originates from as well. If you like historical fiction, mystery, atmospheric reads and don't mind some darker themes and plot points, these books are worth your time!
