4.5 stars | The world and concept is really interesting. [I would recommend this to] people who like stuff like Hunger Games, like dystopian stuff. —Jonathon C., '23

I [recommend this book to] anyone and everyone. It’s about the main character, Winston, finding his way in a world of hate and control. —Cian H., '26

I really enjoyed reading the graphic novel!! I've never actually read 1984 in it's original form which I probably should, but this was a great experience and I'm so glad I picked it up!! It was scary and sad but definitely a good book to read, I'm not like someone who says "everyone needs to read these books!" because reading is such an individual thing but if there was any book I could recommend to someone who asked, it would be this.

This is a scary book. I can now clearly see how this masterpiece, along with his illness, could have quickened Orwell's death.

rating the novel is once again is pointless so i will only focus on how the plot was reconstructed, the art style and how much compatible it was with my imagination. to be honest i am writing the review a few months after reading so i might have forgotten some mistakes or omissions fido made, but now i remember that most of the plot was recreated well. the art style didn't satisfy me, some may say that it's plainity was a thought out idea to keep the brainwashing, making you more and more oridinary present as it was in the book and i must admit that charachters were really similiar to each other, but it doesn't change the fact that such concept was expected from the artist. honestly it's not how i imagined the characters, but i have to admit that it kept the idea the book was supposted to give out so i have no right to rate it way lower then i rated the original itself.

I've never been angry and scared of a book as much as this. It's super twisted one. The ending terrified me haha
