A spectacular work interweaving it's plotlines telling a brisk story I stayed up to finish. The best use of flashbacks I have ever seen.

A really interesting story that is in general pretty small in scale but huge in terms of exploring the lore.

It is a funny character driven read which builds intrigue with flashbacks and compelling character flaws as opposed to action driven battle porn some of the other 40K books have.

An excellent book for those familiar with some WH40k history already. Not good for newbies. But definitely a great book.

This was an absolutely brilliant read and the end truly touched my heart, from the constant flashbacks to the realisation of how things turns out how others turned out, this book is a truly amazing from the world building, the lore and characters

Belisarius Cawl you may be a heretical, mechanical, arrogant and theatrical abominable but I love him for he always kept his one and only friend right by his side for the 10,000 and onwards he lived/is living
