Interesting read.

This book was different from the previous works. It was definitely more political than action-packed.
other than that, the book doesn't really end, as there's a continuation in the next work after the bombing.

a good read.

My first Vince Flynn book. I enjoyed it. Not many surprises. But an enjoyable read nonetheless.

Not the best Mitch Rapp novel - the guy has seriously gone off the deep end. This novel was about 450 pages of preachy (and if we disagree, we're wusses and endangering America), and 50 pages of signature Vince Flynn cool action.

Paperback

It was fine. I don’t think this military stuff is for me.

Much like my last review on Flynn's previous book, the first half is pretty dull. He goes on for quite a bit about religion and politics. Makes for a good lead up to the second, action packed half of the book, but maybe took too long. The rest of the book was good with plenty of twists and turns, but the overall plot is much too predictable. He does set it up great for a sequel though, so that is a nice change since most of his books seem to leap a year in between, with the reader left in the dark as to what happened.

A well thought out discussion about moral absolutes, specifically "torture is wrong" versus specific examples of interrogation the majority supports. However, it was wrapped up in a plot that was far too graphically violent for me.
