Solid short story collection - as one might expect, some of the stories are much more memorable than others. Read at a leisurely pace, it was really enjoyable to experience a pov I haven't previously engaged much with.

Overall, 3,25 stars. I am not mad that I read it. It may not have been the best introduction to Nguyen's writing, but it does have me more hyped in reading his other books, particularly The Sympathizer. Just wish the writing was better style was better.
