What a fun and entertaining read! My first Freida McFadden thriller and I thought it was a great introduction to her work! Minnie's inner dialogue was sometimes cringey, but I still enjoyed the fast paced and addictive plot. I loved how Freida tied it all together in the end. By now I've read four of her books and she writes the BEST epilogues. I'm looking forward to reading the sequels! The Housemaid is a must-read for all thriller fans and a definite page turner with a plot twist you'll never see coming.

The confinement and physical/mental abuse in a domestic violence situation are prevalent throughout this book. The fat shaming and comments on one of the character's body, weight and general appearance can be difficult to read.hmwoodward's review against another edition
