I hate some of the writing its very reptitive and i hate pregnancy stuff but i didnt know that going in but the twists were good i genuinely did not predict anything which a book has never been able to do before. I only read this book for a book club but I've learned i dont really psychological thrillers

Not sure anything will surprise me like one of my recent reads did, but it was quite an enjoyable read. Wish there would have been more focus on how Dr. Hale knew when someone was lying and how that played into the story. Delightfully twisted nonetheless.

Review: Um. WHAT. That was ... wild? and ... weird? and ... addictive? but ... wow? Filled with tons of tension + lots of twists, only about half of which I'd guessed. This was my first Freida McFadden, and I know she's a bit of a divisive author but I'm not entirely sure why (maybe because they're really formulaic?). I don't necessarily know if I'd pick up another one, but there's a fair amount on Kindle Unlimited, and I imagine if I found myself in a bit of a book slump I wouldn't be adverse to picking one of these up hoping I couldn't put it down!
