I was definitely entertained, and I enjoyed the twist -- but probably best not to reflect too hard on this book. I fear it would raise many questions lol

This book was SO gripping. It wastes no time throwing you straight into the plot, so it is very tense right from the beginning. I have read some of the author’s other works and she is so good at throwing you off. I thought I knew the twist that was coming but I was wrong in the end. the entire book gives you a sort of “this is so weird” feeling that you just want to know more and it keeps you hooked. The characters aren’t shallow and they are interesting to learn more about as the book progresses. The ending is shocking and it has made me want to read more of her works. This is an excellent thriller and why this genre is so fantastic.

I thought I had this all figured out by a third of the way through it and fancied myself the smartest person alive... only to turn out to be almost entirely wrong. I'm holding on to the tiny shred of dignity I have left because I was kind of in the ballpark. This author hasn't disappointed me yet, and while her books aren't necessarily rampant with realism, I enjoy the hell out of them and always look forward to starting a new one!

I thought I guessed the twist about half way through. Wasn’t until the last few chapters I learned I was wrong. But the truth seems rushed and left towards the very very end where I just have more questions.

the therapist was the best part of the book. good story, writing felt a bit weird at times, felt like it was trying to be super on the nose about leading you to believe a certain conclusion. ending  twist felt a bit rushed. loved the multiple POV’s and the characters felt super complex and you couldn’t grasp an exact idea of who’s the villain and who isn’t which was nice.

I disliked this book, to put it plainly. Thriller is not my normal genre and I was excited to try something new but at no point during this read was I scared because I never really got invested. Even when the big twist came, my reaction was a subtle “oh”. It was just boring.
