I finished this for a trivia night but I wish I hadn't. Really terrible writing, even some grammatical errors. Author needs a thesaurus. Blatantly spells out how you're supposed to feel as a reader, but I guess if you want a book where you can turn your brain off then this might be it. Just... so much cringe.

2 stars because I just need to know what happens next now. But I might just read a summary to save time...

Well I have to read the second one now to figure out what happens. So that’s why I am giving it an additional star. But other than that, this book is way too much describing shit and not enough meaningful dialogue.
The scene in the house of mirrors was so unnecessary.
Addie is so stupid. In fact she constantly calls herself stupid.
The characters really are all surface leveled. I feel nothing for any of them.
This book made me cringe so much.
So much repetition in this book. Even with simple phrases, it doesn’t go unnoticed and becomes annoying.
The metaphors in this book are super cringy. Idk how it could be a dark romance with all the cringe.

Such an excellent story.

I loved how well written this story was. How lives are intertwined. How well Zade is able to play people so well and get done what needs to be done. Then there’s Addie who is so innocent with such a fiery side.

My favorite part is them talking about how they have been together for lifetimes in different bodies and lives. Mind blowing! I loved it.
