I think I liked this more than the movie because I wouldn’t have to deal with eerie music, also, strangely there was no Wyborn

A fun book for spooky season and an uncanny portrait of life with a parent having borderline personality disorder.

A great spooky children's book. I loved the movie and so it was cool reading the book. I just wished that I had read this when I was a child.

A good short spooky read, perfecting reading for spooky season.

I almost read this in an hour. That's how engrossed in the story I was!

I loved it. Somethings didn't make any sense, and they had to do with the man with the mice as friends and the two ladies with the dogs. I didn't understand why the man with the mice was made of literal mice in the other world. I did not understand why the dogs in the other world had wings.

OTHERWISE.

I thought the story was dark, twisted, and truly one of those 'be grateful what you have, and don't wish for what you don't want/need'.

I love this book. The story kept me engrossed from start to finish. Coraline finds a door that leads to another house within her house. A new set of parents want to adopt her. The only problem is that they are GHOSTS! Coraline realizes she is now in trouble and has to find a way to return back to her old home. She gets help from a stone and a black cat and saves plenty of troubled souls along the way. Coraline comes out victorious and braver by the end of the book. Gaiman is a master story teller. I cannot wait to read more of his books!
