I enjoyed this book as a lightweight read between other books I had going. It was quick, easy, episodic. I picked it up randomly at the library and it had me laughing out loud constantly. Sometimes from shock at the snarky crudeness of the irony and satire, other times because I thought the satirical critique was good.

I don't regret reading it, but despite laughing constantly, it doesn't make the cut for a recommendation for me.

P.S. there are definitely parts of this book that didn't age well

Outdated and, therefore, incredibly racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. Not my type of humor at all - it was like an entire book of dad jokes. I didn’t want to read it, so it took me a while to get through it, but I don’t usually bail on books. Skip this one and leave it in the 80s where it belongs...
