This book was recommended by maya, and it was absolutely brilliant! Aled and Frances’ relationship really resembled ours :,). The story progression was done incredibly well! And Oseman does a superb job of capturing the struggles of teenage hood and mental issues, it felt really good to see the story of Aled and the book included some great sentiments that ring true to my personal values. The book hit so hard and was truly so great to read!!

I couldn't get into it back when it would've been most relatable, probably won't get into it now.

This was a very melancholy read. The characters are desperately trying to be the best, they're trying to live up to the academic pressure of doing well and going to a top university, they're trying to be the best people that other people want them to be. They hide their sexualities, they hide what they feel expresses them best and in the end they kind of figure out how they're gonna be okay with being themselves. I liked how the writing was easy, as if a teenager did write this and it just made it a lot better. This book as a bisexual main character (who actually describes herself as bi), a asexual main character (which doesnt come out till the end but still question himself throughout the book), both of whom share a really good relationship.
I feel a little sad now that I'm done reading it but, I might just have to read it again.
