interesting. so interesting in style, it draws you in. the story is told in a lighthearted and very self-detracting way and with a serious discussion of the nature of free will in relation to morality.

I liked the story, and I liked the sort of dystopian unlawfulness it had to it, but this was probably the hardest book I've ever tried to read. The writing was so hard to understand for me, and honestly, it's a series of pretty disturbing images to have in your head afterwards. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends, but if you're really into the super indie, disturbing, lingering feelings of books like this, I think it wouldn't be a waste to read.

Very very interesting. I was expecting something very different, but was happily surprised. I've never thought about how free will makes us human and what would happen if that were taken away... Yes, the language is hard to understand at first, but once I got the jist of it I could see how it better protrayed Alex's mind than if it were written in proper English. Also, I didn't realize that the last chapter was so controversial and it was left out of the first printing of the American version of the novel and the movie. I'm glad it was in the version I read -- the book gives a very different message without it.
