What a strange and unsettling book. To be able to continue to care for someone, especially platonically, while knowing the atrocities they've committed against innumerable individuals; the echo of which is so deep and widespread, is unfathomable to me.

Absolutely fucked up, but I couldn’t put it down. Read it in 4 days.

how did she have such an interesting story handed to her on a silver platter, yet still make it so torturous to read? Her irritating defense of the police and self important tone does not sit right. Also I know this is a book written in the late 70s, but boy does Ann have an affinity for the r word, as well as blatant ableist and sometimes homophobic rhetoric. Very dated, if you're interested in the Ted Bundy case just read a few articles and don't waste your time on this awful 'classic'.
