I love the concept of reading stories from the perspective of non-human entities (see Ancillary Justice, Raptor Red) and so this was so fun!

3.5 stars. A shepherd is killed and his sheep (including Miss Maple, the cleverest sheep in world) vow to find his killer. I like the more and more as it went on.

Amusing "cozy" mystery type of story, and a fun read, with the sheep as the main characters.

Audio book. I found this delightful. I guess it's sort of a "gentle"/"cozy" read, which would normally make me sigh dramatically throughout, and the idea of sheep as main characters made me wince a bit; but it was actually really cute and sweet, with plenty of background, mystery and interesting characters. Probably would've been a quick read as a book.
