Another enjoyable installment in the Ruth Galloway mystery series. The Italian setting was refreshing, and having Ruth and Nelson spend some time together, albeit helping to solve a local mystery, was fun. This book had a shallower feel than the previous few, although the plot did move forward in rather weighty ways. I wasn't as invested in what was happening between the characters, perhaps there was a bit too much going on, and the story felt a bit fragmented and rushed. Still, a pleasant read, if you already like the series. Just not one that I will remember sharply over the others. Recommended for fans of the series.

This installment of the Ruth Galloway series seemed to contain even more tension between characters, as some of their relationships and situations grow more complicated and difficult to navigate. The mystery narrative is outstanding, with a good smattering of history thrown in!
