OK I need to preface this review by saying the world building is severely lacking, the plot is not very flushed out, and I feel like there’s a lot of holes missing, and the main character can become quite annoying. But nonetheless, I was so addicted, And I couldn’t put it down

The best way I can describe my enjoyment of this book is, it’s like watching reality TV. There’s a lot of components that are skipped or brushed by. The reader is left with a lot of questions and it’s not very deep regarding plot and character development. But is it entertaining? Absolutely.

Okay...first of all the thing I really hate about many why-choose series is the first book having no spice. 425 pages here and only one teeny tiny mention of anything spicy. So annoying! I do love Oli; she is such a bad ass! I'm okay with most of her bonds. Nox is a dick though. I was also annoyed about having to wait basically the entire book to find out what Oli's gift is and we still don't reallyyyy know at the end of the book. Overall, great world building and very much looking forward to the rest of the series.

The world is definitely interesting, and I see so much potential for this plot line. The characters have been pretty one-dimensional so far but hopefully they will develop with time
