As a new reader to DC comics and Superman, this volume introduced me to more of the rogues' gallery Cyborg Superman, Eradicator, Mongul, General Zod, and Blanque. An action-packed story without a lot of breathing room, yet still a fun read. This volume also sets up for the Dr. Oz storyline and the Kents moving back to Metropolis. The setup makes the actual story arc seem like a filler story before the meat of the book.
