It’s been so many years since I’ve read these gruesome tales. I enjoyed the reminder and wonder if our children would be more normal today if we exposed them to things I had to read as a child.

It was interesting enough. A lot of repetitive themes. The last few tales, the longer ones, were more interesting than the shorter ones.

It took me years to read this. The stories just seemed to be the same over and over again, just with a few details changed. And inside the individual stories, there was a lot of repetition. I think writing all of these tales would be a pain before the introduction of the cut and paste function...
