It was quite sad to finish the series. I loved the ending and how the story progressed. I recommend this series to anyone that likes something a bit more dark. Well, a lot more dark. It is a fun read for a good portion of the series. Great way to end off with all the characters.

The end of a series that I've been following for years. Violent and raunchy to no end, it went out like it came in--as bloody and offensive as possible. I look forward to what new series Garth Ennis will be working on. It always seems like he and Warren Ellis are in a race to the bottom in terms of how low their standards are and yet, in the end, their storytelling is still highly enjoyable.

Having read the conclusion, I think The Boys may be the best thing Ennis has written. It appears to be over the top satire of superhero comics, but it is so much more than that. A large part of it is a critique of certain forms of masculinity and how toxic they can be.
There is plenty of violence, swearing and nudity to please the id, along with crude humor. But there is also a surprising depth to this series.

When I started reading The Boys I really liked it, but then it got maybe too weird for me. But at the end of this final volume I cried. I guess I'll miss The Boys.

Good ending. Will be interesting to see how much the show will use.
