I love how this book started out in Ireland and seeing Roarke's family, they are so precious. Also the transition from a small village murder to a dramatic murder investigation back in NYC was so interesting. I love watching Eve box in her suspects and take them down and can't wait for more.

I love this series! This was a great case really. We don't get as much of the team I love so much until later in the book. It's only for the takedown but I was so glad we did.

This case was really mainly Eve, Peabody, and Roarke. I just love how they all work together. I wasn't sure how this case was going to go initially. But as soon as Eve has it figured out, she lets us know who she believes is the killer. We don't see that very often, but I love that we get to truly see how her mind works.

I'm sad we didn't get to experience the get-together with Morris and their friends. I was really thinking we would.

This was weak, and been done. Basically just a place holder.

I loved the beginning of this book with Eve and Roarke in Ireland visiting his extended family on the family farm. All of it was pure gold.

Back in New York, the case was pretty straight forward, the killers easy to point out. Though it's always fun seeing how Eve nails them with the help of Peabody, Feeney, McNab, Mira, and of course, the expert consultant, civilian. There's some good character stuff and banter between Eve and Roarke, as well as the rest of the usual gang, plus some regular secondary characters. I particularly liked Eve's interactions with Feeney in this one. You can definitely feel that old partners vibe and bond. In a lot of ways, Feeney is like the father she never had. Eve and Roarke go semi-undercover at one point, which was fabulous. Also a big plus, Eve Dallas's interrogation of the killer at the end was brilliant, it's like watching a master painter create a masterpiece.

I just LOOOVVVEEEE this series !!!!! I really liked how the murderer was reviled half way through this book and it followed more of eve putting pieces together opposed to a big reveal at the end!! A v good read!

Two rich best friends start a game of murder and ultimately try to kill Eve but she sets them up. Good scenes with Eve / Roarke in Ireland

Indulgence in Death
4.5 Stars

Eve and her team investigate a series of murders in the which the victims are apparently chosen at random and killed using bizarre weapons à la the board game Clue.

This installment opens with Eve and Roarke visiting family in Ireland, and Eve literally stumbling into a murder investigation. While this sequence is entertaining (Eve's reactions to nature are priceless), it's contribution to the overall storyline is obscure. That said, the episode does add a great deal to Eve and Roarke's character development both as individuals and as a couple.

Although the explanations are similar to those in Seduction in Death, the New York case is, nevertheless, intense and exciting. The story had me turning pages late into the night as Eve figures out who is behind the crime, but struggles to find sufficient evidence to convict.

In sum, Robb delivers another excellent book in the In Death series, which must certainly be one of the longest in publication history.
