I want to write a love letter to this love letter of a book. So incredibly beautiful and unique, and I just loved how Virginia Woolf let her own genuine self pour out while writing this. The reading experience gave me a strong sense of freedom, as the novel’s creative approach opened up for experimentation with symbols, timeline, illustrations, writing style, breaking of the 4th wall etc., as well as a wide variety of themes.

Some of the quotes blew my mind - Woolf is so self-aware, humorous, clever and observant. At times I felt like she pointed out oddities about life which my mind has not even been able to recognize as an oddity until seeing her pinpoint formulation, but resultingly gave me a feeling of being understood at a deep, unconscious level.

I wish I was able to explain my thoughts better, but needless to say, I really enjoyed my time with «Orlando».
