✅ He falls first
✅ She thinks they’re enemies
✅ Ex’s best friend
✅ Fake dating
✅ Football romance
✅ Just a taste of voyeurism
✅ Second chance -ish vibes

Alex and Harper are it. I have to insist you read the prequel because it completely builds their second chance vibe.

I was swooning from the jump. Always feel free to send me recommendations where she thinks they’re enemies while he’s been busy absolutely pinning over her silently for years. It’s the superior trope obviously. Also absolutely adore having a real enemy instead of some miscommunication to overcome.

10/10 recommend. Read this so I can scream about her nutty ex with someone please and thank you.

I was immediately invested in this book and sucked into their storyline and romance. Harper is such a strong and relatable character. Alex is cocky and charismatic and definitely a ladies man. Also excuse me while I drool over his tattoos. 🤤

The chemistry between Harper and Alex was absolutely off the charts. So many of the spicy scenes will forever be burned into my brain with no complaints from me.

Ahh I also loved getting characters from the previous stories in this book. It was so fun to see them further in life and absolutely thriving!!

Side note I hate Drew with a burning passion. Disrespectfully, eat rocks.

And omg the epilogue just melted my little heart into a puddle of goo. It was so cute and perfection and I loved it.

Read if you like

I truly don’t even know where to start with this beautiful book. I am so in love. I’ve said out loud “that was such a good book” atleast 4 times to my poor husband. I can’t even tell him it’s cause the mouth on this man and some of the sexiest scenes I’ve ever read had me blushing but also had me smiling because this couple Harper and Alex were perfect! I loved them both, I loved everything about this book. From the start it jumps right in to Harper avoiding Alex but we all know how that goes and it gets right into the best of fake dating there is. SUCH a good read!

Got damn I love me some Alex and Harper! Maggie's books never disappoint, but I never anticipated how much I'd love Pick Six. And oh my gah do I love it. I grinned for about 60% of the book non-stop. If you read her college football Plays & Penalties series, you'll be excited to revisit some old friends. All you Easton lovers out there, get ready to meet this NHL pro.

"You remember who I am right? Your Best friend's ex-wife?"
"I had you first."

Alex.
Where do I begin?! Are there efficient enough words to describe Alex, AKA Alexander “Xander” Xavier, AKA XXL. He is perfection wrapped in a beautiful cover, front to back. I couldn't get enough of his mouth. I'm obsessed with MMCs who have superb banter. Take his witty banter, mix in a little cockiness, and top it off with the praise kink and OH. MY. GAH. It'll make your kitty purr. [[Sorry mom.]]

"You can start by whispering my name like that and we can see how long it takes to make you scream it."

Harper
I can see why Alex is obsessed with Harper. A gorgeous girl who has the brains and the edge to dish back all that banter? YES PLEASE! Alex's banter would've been below par if Harper didn't meet him word for word and I was enjoying every second of it. They'll forever be one of my favorite couples on my shelf.

"Oh fuck me, you're such a good fucking girl. I knew you would be."

Overall it was an easy read that I thoroughly enjoyed and couldn't put down. I always feel bad when authors spend months on a book and I read it in a day wondering when the next one is debuting. (Maggie! I need more please?!) The spice was perfect. I've read plenty of books and have read a lot of things, but there were a couple scenes here that had me like ... WHOA.

TROPES:
* Ex husband's best friend
* Football Romance
* Fake Dating
* He Falls First
