After getting hit by a bus, literally, Milly spends a week in a coma and then a few weeks in the hospital recovering. She is forced to make some life changes, partly because her old life moved on without her.
This is one a best chick lit books I have read in awhile. I loved Milly’s humor. The scene early in book where she is looking at apartments is so funny as she tries to convince herself and her friend that the bullet casing outside, mice running in the walls, creepy neighbor, and a front door that won’t shut are fine, just fine.
Milly’s former life required her to be online all the time, up and in season on fashion (expensive!) once she looked up from the phone and looked around her, she realized there is so much more to the world. I think this is a great message not to get too involved in work and enjoy life!

This was a perfect lighthearted cheesy book. Unfortunately these kind of books never get higher than 4 stars because they’re nothing amazing but nonetheless I still love them and find them easy to read and they put a smile on my face and this did exactly that!

I really, really enjoyed it! This poor girl goes THROUGH IT. I mean... whew. I felt bad for her. I'm sitting there wondering, how much can one person go through? But she goes through so much growth.
I listened to it on Audible. I liked the sweet accent when she was reading. But one thing was kinda jarring. Jed's accent.

Why do people always have to hate on other people's dreams? And okay the mc accidentally gets hit by a bus because she was looking at her phone, why does that mean her family can dictate whether she gets a new phone or not? Or her job?
Idk
