While a few stories are excellent and center bad ass women,  there are too many with male characters as the protagonists and only a "dangerous woman" in a minor role. Add rape, child sex abuse, and a serial killer who targets unfaithful wives, and I stopped at 65%. The range of genres is jarring,  and I don't know what criteria the editors used because there is no common thread.
Overall,  it is a confusing and disturbing collection. 
Shout out to Jim Butcher for a gem in the midst of this mess.
