4.5 stars. Edge of Black, J.T. Ellison’s latest release starring Dr. Sam Owens, is a deeply compelling mystery that is action-packed and terrifyingly realistic. To read my review in its entirety, please click HERE.

Another previously read (unrecorded) book. Well paced, detailed back story with all the threads ultimately pulling the plot together.

I loved this book. It was full of action and kept me guessing up until the end.

There was a lot of non stop action packed into the pages of this awesome little book. It is a bit shorter than her other books. I felt like the people were missing from it slightly, as eye book was all action. My biggest problem though, is I hAe now run out of novels by Ms Ellison to devour. Have to move onto her short stories and hope they keep me satisfied until her next release.

I like Sam and the characters, otherwise, the story bored me to tears, so I debated my rating. Perhaps another one of my favorite authors that I'm getting bored with?

Meh

Interesting characters, if a little predictable. Predictable premise and bad guy. There was no "ah ha" moment. I probably won't read any more from this author.

A good solid read. Great second half with lots of chess pieces on the board.

I enjoyed the scenes with Xander's free-ager parents. That and the almost Glory in Death (almost) ending were fun to read. I even enjoyed the tiny Taylor self defence tip included in the dramatic ending. Good stuff.

I still think the author likes to name drop designer labels to the point where it detracts from the story, but she is not the first author to play this Hermes game.

Looking forward to the third Dr. Sam Owens book.
