This one is a bit of a misfire. If you've seen the movie, essentially everything in the book will be familiar to you. A flourish here, fleshing out a little thought there ... the differences are small and insignificant, as far as the action and plot and so forth. But, while I'm not saying Foster is a bad writer, I am saying he's a bad match for this material. It comes across as limper, more beige, and infinitely less urgent. The film is all tension and adrenaline, and the book ... is not. It fairly faithfully relates the details, and even in the kindle version, the editorial errors in the text are minimal. But it doesn't make you care. The video game novelization did that much better - it at least had impetus. Sigh.
