Such a sweet book, and the theme of empathy is very timely and needed in the context of what’s happening in the world. 

I loved how throughout the book, less so in the beginning and a few more times towards the end, I stumbled over an odd sentence. Something that didn’t seem like it’s from someone who doesn’t feel or understand feelings. This wasn’t ever on the nose, but done subtly, and really showed the development of the main character.

Ending was a little disappointing but the premise of this book was unique and i love her writing. Fast paced and intense. I remember this book was YA in 2017. I don’t think it should be.

I adored this — the character growth and development is immaculate and this is definitely the best piece of translated literature I’ve read thus far

Fast-paced and simultaneously compelling. The ending has left me feeling a bit skeptical with how it all played out, but overall I enjoyed this.
