In Athea, every aspect of the citizens lives are controlled. They must log a certain amount of hours everyday in physical activity, social interaction, and work/education. They must check-in and out of every building with ports imbedded in their wrists, including their homes. Bayith, a sixteen year old girl, is recruited by a rebellion for a power she didn’t know she had that teaches her that everything she’s been taught isn’t the truth and life in Athea isn’t what it seems.

I really enjoyed this book, I couldn’t put it down! A Cage for Angels has a powerful MC and an adorable love interest who’s very protective and a little obsessed with Bayith (in the best kind of way). This is great for fans of Shatter Me. I had a few minor issues with the writing, but overall I really enjoyed it. I’ll definitely be reading the next one!
