I really enjoyed this. At first I wasn’t sure the conflict with Aphrodite was going to amount to anything interesting, but it was actually quite exciting and I loved how Psyche outsmarted her.

I really liked both Psyche and Eros. Eros was such a sweetheart and the way he took care of Psyche, tried to make their wedding special, and his surprise for her for her birthday just makes me melt

Couldn’t put it down!

This series is just phenomenal. Everything I didn’t know I was missing in life. The family dynamics are so well written. You just fall in love with the characters. Katee keeps you on your toes with little twist that keep you wanting to read more.

After the buzz from Neon Gods, I knew I had to buy Electric Idol, a modern retelling of
Psyche and Eros. Psyche is one of Demeter's other daughters and Eros is Aphrodite's son. Eros is basically his mother's henchman and after Aphrodite demands that he bring her Psyche's heart, he grows a conscience and winds up marrying her to keep her safe. The plot is just that, but the steam between the two is off the charts hot!

i really enjoyed this book! psyche and eros have great chemistry, and despite the pacing being a little quick toward the end, i thought the plot had some really good buildup, so it didn’t feel too rushed. this book definitely wasn’t as kinky as the first one, but i’m not mad about it! in my opinion, the spicy scenes still delivered ;)

the reason i’m docking a star is because the actual romance took place over such a short period of time, and as a result, it made it hard to fully immerse myself. i’m all for a marriage of convenience that leads to genuine feelings (seriously, that stuff is my bread and butter) but realistically, they only knew each other for like a week before the confessions of love started rolling out
