It just wasn't very engaging personally. A lot slower than the books I normally read and I felt like the main character Holden was trying awfully hard to be not like other guys, I read a friend a few pages and she noted that he said "I'm crazy" or something else along those lines near once a page. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else and I wouldn't read it again.

I can see the charm in it all but it didn't move me. Maybe 'cause I'm not a phony? Not saying that only phonies like this book, but I just haven't dealt with the same struggles Holden has. So I respect him for it but it doesn't work for me. I liked Franny and Zooey way more.

Não consegui gostar de nada no livro. A escrita e a confusão de pensamentos da cabeça da personagem foi o que mais me desagradou. Infelizmente, não há nada de positivo que tenha tirado desta leitura, com pena minha.
