Although this book dipped into darkness, overall it was enjoyable and uplifting. I grew to love Duchess Goldblatt and empathize with the writer's pain. The audiobook casting choices worked well. It was a quick, beautiful read.

Becoming Duchess Goldblatt is such a treat! The memoir by the anonymous author of the Duchess Goldblatt Twitter account melds the love and whimsy of Duchess Goldblatt with the real-life author's story of grief, loss, and starting over. Ultimately, the book focuses on adult friendship and finding your tribe. Bonus points for Lyle Lovett's part in the real-life story and for narrating himself in the audiobook. Read if you enjoy: social media personas, memoirs that end on a hopeful note, wry humor

The story of how a woman created an alter ego to help her through personal trauma, and ended up creating a beautiful online community that extended into and helped heal her offline life. Loved it. Long live Duchess Goldblatt.

I went into this not knowing a thing about it other than it fit a prompt for a reading challenge. Not only was it a pleasant surprise to love the book but I also found a new favorite Twitter account. Long Live The Duchess Goldblatt!
